One of our great uniquely American holidays is Thanksgiving. Who doesn't love a big meal with all your favorite comfort foods, including pumpkin pie for desert. All this and we get to share the experience with the people we love and respect.

On Friday, November 22nd, the members of The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Flint - Averill Ave. location were treated to a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner. The menu included: fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, beans, mac & cheese, salad, rolls and a variety of deserts and drinks. This dinner was made possible in part by a donation from The Burton Rotary who helped cover the cost of the food. Several of our Rotarians were on hand to set up and serve dinner to the kids and staff of the Boys and Girls Club. It was a heartwarming experience to see the smiles on the kids faces as they enjoyed a hearty meal with friends and positive role models. Thank you to all of the Rotarians who volunteered their time for this event.

This dinner is just one example of how Burton Rotary gives back to our local community. For more information on getting involved, please reach out to one of our members.
